My name is Sophie Logan and I am the Head of Paid Media here.
As a Paid Media Specialist I am fascinated by all things Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, with a keen interest in Search Advertising. I enjoy the balance of writing, maths and data analysis the role entails, and just how fast the Paid Media industry is evolving.
My Background
I started working in Digital Marketing as soon as I graduated from the University of Essex in 2014. Finishing my studies in a Masters in Advertising, Marketing and the Media, I knew that I wanted to work in Digital Marketing, but I had no idea that Paid Media would be where my specialism would end up being. After a few different roles working both in-house and agency side, Paid Media became a clear winner for me in terms of specialisation. It suits my knowledge, skills and experience, and most importantly it’s something I enjoy. Since then, I’ve never looked back!
Overcoming Obstacles
I won’t say that all of the years of my career so far have been completely smooth sailing. There have definitely been a lot of challenging experiences to learn from and obstacles to overcome. There’s been times when I have felt quite lost in the massive industry that is Digital Marketing, and unsure as to where to take my career development. However with time, experience and support from some fantastic people in the industry, I have made it to where I am today.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience, and have participated in some great speaking engagements, including the Search Advertising Show at BrightonSEO, The Nottingham Digital Summit and at Google Partners Training Days. I also enjoy writing articles about my experience and have been featured on numerous sites including WordStream, Feedonomics and Conversion Fanatics. Paid Media, Pugs and Podcasts
Outside of work you will find me with my shadow, AKA Dexter the PPC Pug. He is a regular feature across all of my social profiles and by my side at every suitable opportunity. He’s been known to attend industry events with me, and will regularly make appearances during conference calls as he tries to get comfortable in the background.
I enjoy exercise and in particular yoga and spinning, which helps me to work my body and my mind. I am also a huge true crime fan, and consume an excessive amount of content per week through podcasts, documentaries, films and books.
Joining Victress Digital has been a wonderful experience, and I am delighted to finally be working in a business which upholds such worthy morals and values. Big things are coming, and I am so excited to be part of it.
